Wifey, good evening. This was my very first attempt at stuffed peppers. Surprisingly good… chorizo is very versatile, I don’t know if it’s available in Canada🇨🇦

ccandco, my son gifted me a book by Gwendolyn Brooks a while ago (he knows me so well; he chose G. Brooks over Maya Angelou). I was skimming through the book today and came across “The Mother.” Raw, real and brave verses.

Brenda I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kind thoughts. I reconciled with the realization that sorrows and happiness are one and the same thing.

Hi Yfritz. Thank you for mentioning me again in one of your posts. ☺️
You know you always had Brazilian posts bombarding your feed before because of me but now it might have become a bit more intense… I do apologise for that and I do understand some people unfollowed me because of it and that’s fine with me. English is a foreign language for me too but I chose to keep following a few guys who have been around most of my journey and were always there for me.. you are one of them. 🙂
I feel blessed for being able to communicate in English but it’s undeniable that being able to chat in my own language around has been such a confidence booster for me and has helped me feeling less lonely in this dark country.
Yfritz, although I am not commenting much in your posts now, I always look for people like you to support. Feel free to join the Brazilian/Portuguese craziness of my journal too. You know we don’t give a f around there about standards. Anything can be a subject. In the middle of the lack of classiness I have been able to share experiences with other mums with special kids too… little things like this make the change of app to Brazil so worth it.

Paula, I’m happy to hear that you connected with other moms with special kids. I met cool Brazilian people like Fatima, Leandro, and many more, thanks to you (what happened to avenger? I miss her). Please do not apologize for wanting to speak in your own language, ever. You expanded my world. If people can’t support that, well, fuck them. I saw a quote by Milan Kundera the other day. “ “Being in a foreign country means walking a tightrope high above the ground without the net afforded a person by the country where he has his family, colleagues, and friends, and where he can easily say what he has to say in a language he has known from childhood.” Remember, I am an immigrant too, and I understand this very painfully. I think he nailed it.

Also Paula, I am refraining from commenting on your page because I never know if you are in the middle of an important conversation, which I don’t want to interrupt. Yes I do miss you, but Grandma is happy as long as you are happy.
Don’t worry about the song😂 Definitely not suitable for deadlifting. The singer is Brazilian🇧🇷 and she usually sings in Portuguese.

Coming from a family living in America for generations, but whose first language was French, I'm all for multilingual people everywhere. More is better. 🎄
