Hamstring and IT band issues are resolving, which means I have been able to run 6-mile jaunts on the treadmill (~60min) with only slight discomfort (ache) the next morning. Working to keep daily calories close to <80% RDI.

Argh - those IT band issues are awful. I hope you have some good stretches or a soft foam roller - that worked for me. I moved to elliptical since treadmill running can be painful. Good Luck!

Well, it was kind of funny...I went off the treadmill for two weeks, strictly rowing, spinning and elliptical trainer. After two weeks I started to run very slowly (12:00/mi pace...a crawl for a guy used to training at 8:00/mi and racing at 7:00/mi or faster!). I ended up (STUPIDLY) straining my left hamstring; no running for two weeks. So I started back on the treadmill again about two weeks ago...today was 6.25 miles at a 10:00/mi pace. Happy dance!
