I need to stop obsessing about the darn scale. I wonder if I have enough willpower to weigh in only every third day???

Diet Calendar Entry for 23 March 2011:
1257 kcal Fat: 82.80g | Prot: 87.52g | Carb: 31.35g.   Breakfast: MIM, Butter (Salted), tomato, onion, spinach, eggs, pumpkin. Lunch: Italian Salad Dressing, onion, red bell pepper, spinach, hard boiled eggs, Broccoli, tuna fish. Dinner: diet coke, Green String Beans. Snacks/Other: mozzarella cheese, mozzarella cheese stick. more...

I'm with you on that one...I have a hard time walking by the scale every day. I have been the same for 3 days - so I need to quit weighing in every day! I'm going to try & wait the full week...we shall see. Good luck!!

I'm the same! My doctor told me only to weigh myself once a week as people who do this are more successful in their weight loss and keep the weight off long term! Be strong, put your scales out of sight, I find this helps a lot!

Actively remind yourself... this is a lifestyle change. You will be using this scale as a tool from here on out. Once a week now, will ease your daily 'fluctuation' distress - and you will weigh more often later, when it's important (during OWL & Phase III when you are adding new foods.) Then eventually go back to weighing once or twice a week during Maintenance. It's all part of the mental discipline! You can do this!!!

you know, they're right. Your weight CAN fluctuate all week long, do you really want to go through that mental anguish and self loathing just because a hormone held some water back? Better to suffer the dirty look the scale gives you as you walk past it, then the evil laughter it makes when you step on it everyday.Hope that makes it clear for you. We are all here rooting for you!!!

I may need a 12 step program for weighing myself! Isn't it enough that I am changing my eating habits? Do I have to cut the umbilical cord from my scale too? You people are hardcore here!
