Starting into the grind of processing all our garden produce to keep it over winter and into next spring. I love having it over the next year knowing where it came from and how it was grown. Some days I need a reminder of that when my back is killing me and I am exhausted. But today I have a smile because it's early on in the season. A month from now I will need that reminder.

You're so lucky! My garden was crappy this year. However, the blackberries are incredible and nature grows them for free here. I picked a ton and am going back for more tomorrow. Jam for the year...sweetened lightly with stevia. I froze peaches for the first time and corn on the cob. Really looking forward to some flavor bursts throughout the winter. Agree...it is a back killer when you're processing!
