Calories In Calories Out. Sounds simple, right? Maybe it is simple for some, but I see some very popular members here suggesting it’s as simple for everyone. Quality of calories matter. If you’re two weeks into your weight loss journey from 300+ pounds I think you need to focus as much on the quality of calories and not just the number of total calories. “Rather than choosing foods based only on caloric value, think instead about choosing high-quality, healthy foods, and minimizing low-quality foods.” That’s from a Harvard School of Health study, not my words. Highly processed foods like Little Caesar’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, and Mountain Dew do not fit your calorie profile. Go read about it yourself because I’m not about to spend my day debating this. Low satiety and highly processed foods will not help you in your journey. If you’re already fit and burning 4000 calories a day then go ahead and have your kids cereal for supper…but if you’ve been struggling for some time with your health and your weight…it’s time for a much larger change.

Lol…keep digging. “The fats in bacon are about 50% monounsaturated and a large part of those is oleic acid. This is the same fatty acid that olive oil is praised for and generally considered “heart-healthy”

Post the scientific link. Or is that verbal diarrhea from Dr. Fung?

The point we are making is that any diet can be healthy of you get your vitamins, fiber, minerals etc. You're arguing that it's your way or the highway for obese members. It isn't true. Any diet can work, even one with a bunch of bacon lol

HK3. Let me hear from you when you have been on Keto for 365 days. Also, have your liver tested for fatty liver. This sometimes happens when Keto diet is followed for too long. Most people can't hack for one year. And to all a goodnight!

No, dude…not a bunch of bacon 2-3 slices max. I was in carb and sugar overload and for me I found what worked. You found what worked for you. So what? You’re so aggressive and defensive all at once it’s hilarious.

People, I’m off keto as I’ve reached my goal. 125g carbs a day, 100-150g protein and the rest is fat. Balanced af.

If I’m still losing weight guess what I’ll do? Increase carbs…🤔

Yes, a balanced diet can include pizza. It has a great spread of macros, much better than bacon.

You attacked my mental capacity before my string of posts so not sure who is more defensive lol

I may agree if the pizza wasn’t Little Caesar’s

Just like I may agree that cereal was good too if it wasn’t Honeycomb.

In fact I had a half cup of Honey Nut Cheerios (store brand equivalent) tonight to bring up my calorie intake a little.

Don’t you think that some folks in here see what you eat and think they can do the same? Any consideration that your posts may be harmful and not helpful?

I had 28g of sugars today…our pizza eating friend likes Mt Dew too…one 16oz bottle has 62 effing grams of sugar in it. Wonder where her problem is???

They can do the same if calories are counted lol. Anyone can. I've always advised yo eat mostly nutritious food. 80/20 is fine.

95% of dieters who are morbidly obese using your method, fail. Someone who honky has 30-50 pounds to lose will never understand why they fail. Months of dieting and mild success doesn't make you an authority on here.

You know she ate the other six slices of that pizza the next day, right? 2200 calories worth! She would have been far better off with a pound of bacon.
