I tried Atkins for 8 months lost a few pounds. Stopped and gained 20 pounds in the last 4 months. I weigh more now that I did before.
I'm not sure what to do. I over eat!

I think I have a food addiction - not just carbs - or sweets - but food in general. I eat until I sometimes feel sick.

I eat, get tired, feel lousy, eat again. Catch 22 vicious cycle. So discusted and sad!

I'm sorry to hear about your re-gain. I did that too. SIGH!!! The over eating thing is a REAL thing. My Step-Aunt has the exact same problem. I would recommend looking at this site: www(dot)OA(dot)org It might have some info for you. We're here for you! No giving up!

well the best thing is that you know this about yourself...so now we have to figure out what can help you. I have heard from many on here that drinking water with meals helps them to feel fuller faster... I think there might be lots of tricks out there if you look. GOOD LUCK!

Zucchini...fills ya up and it's really versatile and basically empty calories...and water, you can never have enough water...it takes a long time to really realize that eating is for nutrition and not to be happy or less bored or whatever...and then from there you make better choices so you don't feel like you're missing out on the good stuff, you're just finding other ways to enjoy it...like instead of eating that bowl of ice cream, you MAKE your own frozen yogurt and enjoy it knowing that it's such a better option...you can do this, if I can, you can!!! Promise!!! It's about making a better lifestyle choice for long-term, something that will become second nature to you!
