SEVEN DAYS UNTIL SPRING

So, did everyone enjoy the time change this morning. Hopefully you slept in a little later to make up for the hour lost! I woke up to my DH laughing his head off watching old reruns of The Three Stooges. They are hilarious and if you need a good laugh, you will certainly get one watching them.

Scale treated me kindly this morning, total of 10 lbs down so far this year. I am quite happy with that. The small changes I make monthly seem to be making the difference. Dropped the total calories per day down a bit with a spike day every 10th day and decreased the fat down to a goal of 30g or less per day. I will stay with it for now.

After our power walk yesterday we decided to spend some time scheduling our next vacation. We firmly believe in them! Scheduled a great snorkling trip to the Bahamas in May. Already getting excited and thinking of clothes I will bring. I think I feel a shopping trip in the near future to get some new vacation duds.

Watching the BNP Paribas tennis tournament going on in Indian Wells CA. We used to go to this every year when we lived in Cali, only lived about an hour away. We miss it and will probably make plans to go out next year for it. Great time of the year to get to Palm Springs and will be able to catch up with some old friends.

Thinking about this weeks menus, probably going to have left overs tonight for supper. Will get some veggies prepped today, make a big salad, etc. For now...need more coffee, some breakfast and start laundry.

Well done Babs on your loss - it will make clothes shopping so much more exciting. Fab holiday plans, I've also bit the bullet and booked a beach and sun holiday for august, so have no choice but to be costume ready.

Thanks Lisa, funny it took me from Sept-Dec last year to lose the first ten and I was up and down and all over the place. This year Jan was pretty much the same story trying to take off what I gained on vacation, Feb started to level out and move downward and now March is in a pretty good downward swing. It does take a while to get it all figured out, maybe me longer than most!

Babs, I think perhaps you have made peace with the process and now understand that taking care of yourself is not berating yourself for the choices of yesterday and learning to be kind with yourself and embrace the process which is challenging because it is a day to day endeavor. By getting practice and you are getting stronger each day and are finding the way to your best life which is a healthier you because you are worth the effort! TOWANDA!!!
