It takes a bit for your body to adjust, give it a little while :)

Log all your food too, there are some very wise people on here when it comes to nutrition :)

Could it be other things, like that time of the month is approaching? And some diets don't work for some people - perhaps you should try a different method? Personally I will gain and want to eat everything in sight on low fat diets, but lose quite nicely on a low-carb diet with plenty of fat. Everyone would like to lose weight quickly but be careful of taking your calories too low as that can backfire on you.

First google "why the scale lies' for insight in to water weight fluctuations. Some things to think about. Are you tracking all your food honestly? Bites, licks and tastes add up. Are you drinking water? Water flushed out sodium and keeps things moving. Are you eating the right amount of calories to help you lose? On your diet calendar, you are not eating very much. So if that is a true picture of what you are eating every day, then you know the weigh you gained is water because you can't gain fat on so little calories. You should also increase your protein intake. Protein and high fiber help us lose fat better than any food group. Are you eating too many processed foods? They contain a lot of sodium. People tend to lose better on more whole foods (natural). Are you being active? Exercise helps burn calories, build muscle, lose fat and helps keep your heart healthy as well as a zillion other things. Slap on a pedometer and aim for 10,000 steps a day. It's only been a few days. So many things effect the scale. All the little things we do add up.

I do drink water, I don't drink anything else! I also eat the processed foods :(. I start my gym workouts next Monday. My wedding is November 8th. i would like to at least lose a dress size buy then. Thank you everyone for the advice, I really needed it this morning.

Remember you can't outrun bad nutrition. No matter how much exercise you do, a poor diet will always derail you. I suggest you log every bite you eat, make sure you eat a bit of good protein (skinless chicken, skinless salmon, canned tuna fish packed in water, unbreaded fish fillets, etc) with any carb you eat, stay away from dense carbs such as grains (wheat flours, corn, barley, , etc), stay away from high glycemic veggies (potatatoes, beets, etc), avoid fried anything, drink plenty of water, unsweetened iced tea(use plenty of ice), unsweetened coffee (or just use Stevia or Truvia), and dairy products only in measured amounts. Stay under your ceiling of calories. You can get better RDI on other sites (because FS is high on RDI) such as calculator.com. Bet you drop the weight in no time! You can add back the items you miss most after you drop a few lbs. You can do this!!

Bridget, do you have a family to take care of nutritionally? That can make you feel overwhelmed by trying to accommodate them and you. It is easy to "assist" the baby with his snack and find out moments later you may have ingested more than he did :) I have a very particular husband when it comes to food. I started to enjoy the challenge of making my favorite foods with a healthy twist. He is pleased because he knows he likes it and I do not feel as I am missing out as it's my "favorite" food. The bonus is that I feel great because I am keeping to my goals. You can do this! It doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. When I started I would go to www.eatingwell.com and utilize their recipe catalog. There is reviews on each recipe and most of the food is things you would eat already just made healthy for you. If you are not on a specific DIET, this is a way to cut your calories in half and nutritionally feed yourself with GOOD and TASTY food! YOU CAN DO THIS! Another great recipe stop is: http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/cook-yourself-thin/recipes. Yes it is on lifetime people, but the three nutritionists are spot on.
