I had such a good weekend that I don't want to be a bummer today, but I'm feeling a little off. It's a combination of things. I've been eating pretty good. I did some heavy calistenics last night (3x25 crunches, 3x15 push ups, and 3x10sec plank). I did not do any cardio, though. The small amount of exercise is only part of it. I am working through other personal goings on as well. I was awake for a few hours during the night and I had to get up at 5:30 this morning. I'll probably be able to take care of the sleep thing tonight. We'll see on the exercise. Only time will tell on the other issues.
(Wow, who let this imposter in?!?!?!)
Okay, now for some happiness: 1) Of all the down days I've had during the past 3+ months, luckily it hasn't seemed to affect my weight loss of cortisol production. 2) My wife comes home tonight for the week and potentially for the foreseeable future. It'll be weird divying up dinner responsibilities during the week again (We both enjoy cooking).

Have you taken a rest day from exercise lately? Maybe you might need one after your heavy calistenics from last night. I was thinking back, last time I felt pretty off was because I did not get enough protein post-workout. Did you get some in last night? Maybe you should have a steak dinner with your wifey tonight.

Thanks for the advice, Snuggs. Saturday and Sunday are normally rest days from Cardio as well as one day during the week. I'm planning on making Chicken Tetrazzini from the WW site tonight (Haven't made it yet). It's got 16-24 grams of protein depending on how big the servings are. Hopefully you are right and that helps. I also hope a lot has to do with sleep. As I said, my personal issues will take some time to resolve.

Lack of sleep turns me into a different person. Not a nice person. A weepy irritable jumpy worried unpleasant to be around person. I find I can't solve problems, I make the problems bigger than they really are etc. So I say get some SLEEP man.

Things are looking up a little bit. I just scored free tickets to a comedy show for Saturday. We love live comedy. Karma, Baby.
|
Hey man, you can't be spewing rainbows and sunshine ALL the time!! :) I hope things mellow out for you. I"m with Z- sleep makes me a "cry-baby-pee-pants" as we used to say in grade school. I agree with some extra sleep, especially if life is hitting you hard... and then a good laugh sounds like great medicine too!

@Radiochick - Spewing rainbows?!?! I all most spit my water into my keyboard. They only thing funnier would be the other four-letter s-word!! Thanks...
|
@Z - Yeah, I hope to rectify the sleep thing tonight...
|
A good nights sleep will do wonders and having your honey bunny home with you will hopefully help you sort out whatever is going on. Hope it is all not too serious my friend.

I think we underestimate the effect of losing sleep. Sleep is major. Obviously I don't know the details but it sounds like you're looking forward to spending time with your wife. (New beginnings?) I'd love to divvy up dinner with my husband. He doesn't cook. He swears that if we had a grill he'd grill every night but since we live on the 3rd floor of an apartment I haven't been able to put that to the test.

Yeah, Kind of a Carbon Monoxide hazzard to light the charcoal briquettes in the middle of the closed off kitchen. Ha, Ha. I was looking forward to it only because she is traveling all week.
