Can you have unsweetened almond milk on keto? it's not as creamy or sweet as milk but it's refreshing, low calorie and might help you transition from the cream and sugar better than going straight to black.
3 lbs sounds like a good goal but please don't beat yourself up trying to lose 7. Slow and steady with sustainable lifestyle changes is the way to go ❤️

Replace the milk with full fat cream (not half and half) and replace the sugar with stevia. Near zero carbs.

Morgan it sounds as if you are doing this on your own (except for us).🤗
A lot of insurances will have nutritionist on board to guide you. Have you looked into that? Also, my insurance plan put on weekly classes and weigh ins. Then there is a national diabetics network that does the same thing and think that is free.
We mean well on this platform, but we are giving our own ideas that may or may not work for you.
All the best!

That’s a great idea lisfifty! We all want to see you succeed and maybe a program to help with structure is just what you need. My dad used something free through insurance and it was awesome.

I switched from coffee to teas. Coffee upsets my stomach.

stevia is a good substitute for sugar, and you can replace the milk with heavy cream.

As a big fan of my Half and Half in my one cup of coffee in the morning, and the sugar that goes along with it, I would not replace milk with heavy cream OMG! Check out the fat content of both. Delicious but not a healthy replacement for sure.
For myself, I've made the choice to measure the Half and Half and sugar and keep that as consistent as possible and then just add my custom listing for "coffee at home" and add it every day to breakfast and work my calories for the day from there. It works for me because I found trying to drink coffee black and even less cream and sugar make me really unhappy. YMMV!

Rooting for ya!
25 years ago or so I ran out of sugar for my coffee and was too broke to afford it ...
Never went back to it even after times got better.
The taste is strong at first, but after a while when you grab a wrong coffee sometime, their sugar latte will make your face pucker! 😝

Find a good Keto guide. I like dietdoctor.com. Heavy cream and stevia is delicious in coffee, and if you're doing keto, the high fat content doesn't matter (just keep the carbs super low). If you track everything you eat here, before you eat it, you can see if it has too many carbs for keto. Good luck!

lol, that tracking BEFORE you eat it is such an important detail in almost all food logs and ways of eating.
