CMR's Journal, 01 March 2011

Good Morning all.

Oh boy, do I feel great this morning!!! I really don't know what it is, but it's head and shoulders improvement over yesterday morning, mentally. I really want to figure it out because I want to bottle it for next Monday!!

I started doing the "eat when I'm hungry" thing last night, so I had two half sour pickles when I got home before my workout. Then I did another 40 minutes on the bike before making Turkey Habanero Marinara, another K8tk recipe, with Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Wheat Linguine. Another good one from Kate!!!

My brother and sister-in-law are having a birthday party for my godson this weekend. I wanted to get to my goal by the time I saw my family again (last saw them at Christmas), but I will be close enough. I've been toying with wearing the same clothes I wore at either TG or my niece's christening for an accurate before/after comparison. It going to be approaching 50 degrees this weekend though and there's also going to be a bunch of people in their house. UConn is going to be on ESPN, so my only other goal is for the song singing to happen during halftime :). I'm not a huge cake guy anyway, so we'll see if I indulge.

Have a great day everyone and hopefully my good mood can be transmitted through the Hi-speed cable in the wall!!!

thanks for passing it along! and yum, sour pickles. I ate a bowl of hot pickled banana peppers last night on a foraging mission and briefly wondered if I was pregnant. Briefly.

Nice! That's my most popular recipe :) And I don't even eat it anymore lol. Glad you liked it! Noticing a trend in my recipes?? They all call for ample amounts of hot peppers.

@Z'sMama- So I take it you are not, huh?! If you are happy you are not, then I am happy for you. If you are disappointed, maybe next time (Not really sure how to react. :)

@Snugglebunny-Yeah, that how I felt this morning. Now...I'm tired. But I did just work out. Time to relax...

@Bren It was a great day. Now I feel sort of relaxed coming off the bike. Tired, but relaxed...actually relieved I don't have to work out any more tonight. Talk to you tomorrow...

@Kate, I'm liking the hot pepper dishes. I look later in the week for others. I have to many containers of leftovers to make anything else right now.

@Babs. If you take the seeds out of the peeper, it not as bad as you may think. Still spicy but not suicidal in a Man vs. Food type of way. I was hesitant to cook with Habaneros because of that, but the pasta, oil and other ingrediates go a long way in cutting the heat, IMO. Have a good night all!!

@beets-Yeah, I've been thinking about how to approach a before/after for a few weeks now. What's great is that the pants I wore in mid-November barely fit me. I've gone from barely fitting into 38's (Probably should have been in 40's at that point) to barely being able to keep 36's up. Still have a ways to go to get into 34's, but at least now it is within sight.

Thanks, Coach. Part of the reason for the improvement today over yesterday was overdoing my weekend spike and it carried over into yesterday. Feeling good now though...Take care.
