I used my garden cultivator (3 pronged rake) to weed one of my garden beds. I worked up quite a sweat so when it started to rain on me I didn't mind 🌤🌧 It felt pretty good. This used to be my small veggie garden but it's too shady now so I planted Caladiums, begonias & impatiens there this year. I'm sitting on the covered deck now as we get a shower.
One of the bloggers I follow had a video of moves to improve your arm definition with weights. She is in her 70's...I started following her cause she's stylish & still in pretty good shape. One thing she said is it would probably take at least 2 months to start seeing results & up to a year to get full benefit. Now these aren't really heavy weights....but manageable by anyone. Gotta start somewhere 😊
I ended up doing half of our afternoon walk solitary again yesterday. Hubby was not feeling real energetic. He went in to pick up a few groceries & realized when he got home a bag was missing, so he had to go back & get it. He doesn't like to stress our dogs that are getting older, either. It was pretty warm so when I got home I was drenched. I did choose the level road again.
My daughter texted a pic of herself in the swimsuit she wants to wear on our Girls beach trip. She said she needed to tone up a bit to feel more comfortable. We gabbed back & forth a few minutes. Later, I realized I hadn't offered my support so I texted her this morning. I have come to realize that that support can mean a lot! She sent her thanks...I think she appreciated the reciprocal support, since she is already doing it for me.
I tried to lower my goal weight by 5 lbs. & I can't seem to do it on my phone. Gotta pull up the site on my computer.
I had already decided to make a salad with chicken on top for dinner. I saw a recipe in a magazine earlier with some summer squash "ribbon cut" so I think I'll do that with the squash & cucumber.
