I started Atkins (again) on Mon March 30th. My goal is to lose 15-20lbs by July 10th (my birthday). I am in it mind, body & soul! I'm doing really well this 1st week, but I really miss my fruit and oatmeal... My biggest challenge is finding the time and desire to actually workout (ugh!!!)

You can do it! Stay on induction as long as you can is my advice as a dieter doing this for the past year and a half steadily. When I plateaued and started to gain last September I did induction fairly strictly and lost nearly 13 pounds in ONE MONTH -last September - so it can be done. Best wishes - stick with us! Watch that salad dressing make sure it's low in carbs! :)

Absolutely- you can do it!! I have to schedule my exercise, and every little bit helps, don't think it has to be a big production. You're already doing great on the diet, and that is where most of the weight loss comes from. Keep going!! :)

I started the week before you and I am having the same problems! The first week I had alot of trouble staying under 25 carbs but now its getting a little bit easier to stay under 20. Its feels weird to not eat fruits and veggies. Planning out schedules definitly helps to keep on track.

Thanks guys. What a great support system. I must say, I've had some good luck with Atkins. I lost about 60lbs between 2005 and 2007 but gained 15lbs back in 2008. So now I'm trying to get back down and instead of "dieting" my goal is to change my eating habits for good!

Yeah I miss the fruit a little too at times. However I find that with the constant hunger gone I feel better over all. I don't have wild cravings like I used to - that in itself makes Atkins worth it!

I lost a lot of weight back in 97 on the Atkins diet and kept most it off until 2003, then lose a lot on the WW diet in 2003. Now I'm trying to a little bit of both, keeping the carbs down and watching points Good Luck, Martin
