I have to take the Biology subject test for the GRE, in order to apply to graduate programs in biology. I take the test on Saturday of this week, and have been studying for about a month now, pretty much everyday. Anyway since I take the test Saturday I need to do my last crunch week of studying before the test, which means I will be giving up the gym. I am really frustrated about it, but I know I simply won't get through the material I want to if I don't. I am really afraid that I will back track even more than I have, which I can't seem to get off again. This 130ish hump is the hardest!! I was really excited to have passed it when I did, but unfortunately that didn't last long, and now I have to do it again. I feel like I am doing ok with eating most of the time. And have significantly upped my workouts from 35 min to 45-50 min and the level so I work harder. At my 35 min workouts was burning 450-500 calories now I'm burning 550-600, and I've done this for about 3 weeks now in place of my previous workouts and haven't really seen results in numbers on the scale. I have seen results, I have noticed I am much more toned all over, I've felt bones in my body I've never really noticed before and have been quite satisfied with the tighter toned me, but those scale numbers are being so sticky!!
I am still working on figuring out how to curb snackiness when I get home from work and gym and I'm absolutely starving. (this is probably where my worst time of diet divergence comes as I am searching for something to satisfy that hunger so I can think straight and figure out what to make for dinner. My new strategy this week is go for my milk and flax which I usually have with or after dinner, switch to having it before in that snack-craze period. I think that will even out the bloodsugar and be satisfactory enough that I can curb the desire for junk--(or whatever happes to be in front of me)....

thanks for the advice about the boyfriend and the apple fritters, he was totally receptive, and I haven't had one in maybe 3 weeks now! (they're back to being a special special treat!)

I hope all my FS buddies are doing well!! and hoping for good weeks for everybody!!

I see a lot of people at the gym with their books in front of them. This doesn't work with all equipment though, and not if you're running or doing weights. It's good on bikes though. Try that, maybe?

Yeah. I've done that, but for me books only work on the bike, and I usually do my cardio on the elliptical because its more intense and I can get those 550-600 cals done there in 45 min rather, at least it takes me much longer to burn that many cals on a bike.
