When did we have to pay to watch commercials???? Billiam and I went to the movies last night and were beseiged by commercials before the movie started! That really ticks me off. Even though it was the dollar theater, there was no need for that. We've gone to the regular priced theaters as well since living here in Calif***kinya and had to sit through commercials as well. Is it only here in the Golden State or is it elsewhere? Never saw the like of it before!

Before I take off for my (mid)morning workout, I made a comment in someone else's journal that really got me to thinking. While it's true that my grandkids kept me moving (walking to the park, playing in the park for hours each day, playing chase and tag through the house; also some light housekeeping as my stepdaughter had her hands full w/ the death of her dear grandfather) I still wanted to workout in the evenings when we got home. My husband really gave me a hard time about it using things like dinner needing to be fixed and the days were long and how tired I looked and my shoulder was hurting so why was I wanting to go the gym. The sad part in all of this is: even though it was out of love and worry that my husband gave me a hard time-- I caved! I didn't stand up and say "I AM GOING!" I just gave in because it was easier to listen to him than to fight about it then watch his frantic behavior as I walk out the door. Yes, folks, my husband gets frantic! It breaks my heart. He means so well and is so protective of me. Well, I'm thinking it's high time I broke the cycle. After reading Les' journal and all that he put up with (didn't sound very loving on his family's part) he still did what he knew to be best for him! What a fine exemplar Les is. Thank you, dear, for sharing your triumphs, your joy, your misery, your failures, but most importantly your fortitude and optimism! It really struck a chord. :-) (Now on to k8yk's journal!)

It was a busy, busy day. I talked Billiam into going to the bike trail today "to get some sunshine and fresh air since it was SUCH a beautiful day". We wound up walking/jogging for a little more than two hours! I just got back from the Swiss ball workout and boy oh BOY am I feeling it. She put in the most amazing ab exercise I've ever done. I mean I felt it from my chest all the way down to my pelvic region. You grab the Swiss ball between your feet and raise straight legs to a 90 degree angle, then lower. She suggested contracting the Keigle(sp?) muscles as you do the exercise. Says you can feel your abs contract even more. Have mercy!

Well, off to eat dinner. Italian sausage isn't the healthiest option, but it ain't gonna hurt once in awhile! Gonna get more protein in tomorrow!

when I used to go to theaters it was the same thing... Ten minutes of commercials and previews before the movie starts. Makes a 90 minute movies into 100 minutes! I go to Blockbuster, have on-demand TV and fast forward the commercials. Been watching my shows online mostly though.

It totally sucks! I did enjoy the movie once it started, though. I wasn't so sure when I helped choose it, but it was a fun one to watch.
