I had a good run on the treadmill yesterday doing speed intervals. That is evidenced by some rather fatigued legs. Not good considering today is usually a lower body day with my personal trainer. I let him know about it so we did just a little bit of spinning and then did upper body. Now I'll be completely exhausted.

Thus, I think I'll take tomorrow off of the gym. I sort of need a mental health day from it too. So, I'll use my lunch hour to run errands around town. I'm taking my son to the Milwaukee Ballet this weekend...it's gonna be a long road trip and I need to get ready for that. I think I might even treat myself to a new dress for the occasion?!?! We'll see...budgets are tight.

Any body else get mentally burned out of ideas at the gym? Where do you get your ideas for workouts?

My partner and I lift weights MWF and we cardio TRS, we often add challenges at the beginning of the month to our cardio days. Last month was a burpee challenge from Bloom to Fit, we've also added skipping challenges, squat challenges etc. Many of them we found on Pinterest. Pinterest always has interesting fitness ideas!

No ideas for the exercise - just wanted to check in and say hi. You've been really active and I agree you deserve a mental health day and a break.

I'm such an overachiever. I'll take the day off of the gym, but I opted to get up early today and get my workout out of the way at home. So, I'll get to have some time to myself on my lunch hour today (and have that mental health)...but know that I didn't slack in my routine. Determined!
