I've had so many life changes since my last update. I've moved states, and got a job. I am still apart from my family, who are finishing up the school year in Texas. Needless to say, there has been a lot of stress. Diet hasn't been great all the time, but my job is extremely physical, so I am still losing, albeit slowly. My work offers a discount on Noom, so I have decided to give it a shot. I'm still in the trial phase, and I'm not sure if I will continue. However, it is weird... like a refresher on what I should be doing. Yesterday I was focusing on water (which was so hard, mainly because at work I was in a place where it is hard to get coverage to go to the bathroom, lol), and I totally surpassed my goal! I also slept better. But that could be a coincidence. But the mindful eating portion is something I'm already becoming aware of: Today I wanted a sweet breakfast, but I also knew I needed protein. I considered the usual "bad" foods, maybe pancakes and bacon 🤣, but instead opted for steel cut oats, berries, and a scoop of my chocolate protein powder. And while it wasn't as sweet as I thought I wanted, it was very satisfying. Noom wants me to weigh-in every day, which will be difficult for me mentally, but I'll get there. My scale arrived less than an hour ago, so this weight includes breakfast, and a lot of water. I am meant to weigh first thing in the morning. Idk if I will log every single day on here, but maybe.
