Last week I made black bean “hamburgers”. Just for grins. Wow did they turn out good. I froze a couple after I cooked them to see how defrosting, etc. worked out. They tasted better tonight than the day I made them because the flavors had a chance to meld. . Just a couple of things— recipe called for feta cheese but I didn’t have any and didn’t miss it. Next time I will add some nutritional yeast. Second, the recipe gives you a choice of sauce type things to add in. I had a Heinz ketchup that has Tabasco in it and that was a wonderful addition. Not a recipe for Keto people but I think others might be interested. I may never eat a real hamburger again.

The gal who runs this blog is really good. I have made many of her recipes and they are almost all keepers.. li am not a vegetarian and I have nothing against meat, but this was just a great recipe. I used Dave’s Killer buns. Just like the bread, great flavor and basically just thinner. Great combo.

Why eat a cardboard veggie burger out of the freezer section in the market when you can make your own? Plus I bet you only had ingredients in yours that you can pronounce (minus the ketchup). Cheers to the real thing!

To answer a question, yes I did make the pickled onions myself and yes I did put just a thin slathering of quac on the bun. I had three different cheese option for people to chose from.
