Hey Buddies, Hope all has gone well with you this past week & over the weekend! As for me, I have been *too* busy but I *have* taken the steps I believe were needed to get me back where I need & want to be in order to reach my personal goals. Yaay for me :D
Altho' I have been almost absent from having contact with you,my supporters & friends, you haven't been far from my thoughts :D I have been thinking about your comments & posts not just on my journals but on yours & others here in the FS Community.
Earlier in my March 18th journal entry I mentioned how accepting the truth can transform us from the inside out & so many of you agreed. In fact,JENNBUCK replied how "uncanny" it was that we were so "parellel in thought" & that "it is so much simpler than we *think*"(emphsis is mine, not hers).I just want to say: it is *as* we think. Yesterday YOLANDA spoke of 'perspective' & how "it makes all the difference." I agreed with her & posted a quote by Wayne Dyer but I continued to *think* on this subject which led me to the apostle Paul's uttering at Romans 7:18-19,22-23--"For I know that in me,that is,in my flesh, there dwells nothing good;for ability to *wish* is present with me,but ability to work out what is *fine* is not present. For the *good* that I wish I do *not* do, but the *bad* that I do not wish is what I practice...I really delight in the Law according to the man I am *within*, but I behold in my members another law *warring*against the law of my *mind* & leading me *captive* to sin's law that is in my members." Pauls imperfection *repeatedly* hindered him from doing what he desired to do,yet his ATTITUDE-the way he thought & felt-was exemplary! OURS CAN BE TOO :D Paul spoke about having the *right* attitude."Not that I have *already* recieved it or am *already* made perfect, but I am *pursuing* to see if I may lay hold ... I do not *yet* consider myself as having laid hold on it; but there is *one thing* about it:Forgetting the things *behind* & stretching *forward* to the things ahead,I am pursuing down *toward the goal*"(Phil.3:12-14) And he told us that Jehovah would help us change our attitude IF we *really* WANT to but we MUST do *our* part,in developing a proper attitude.(Romans 15:4 holds the key here) Job had a fine attitude. He never blamed evil on Jehovah God & at no time did he allow his sufferings/trials to shake his confidence. YET,he *was* inclined to *justify* himself. And Jehovah had Elihu "assist" Job in changing his attitude. Humbly, Job accepted the truth about himself & the need for an attitude adjustment he set about making. :D (Job 42:1-6)
How do we react when we give evidence of having a faulty attitude? Do we complain, hold others responsible for our difficulties? Do we *justify* ourselves?
In the first century Jesus said something that was difficult to understand & many who heard it said, "This is shocking!*Who* can listen to it?!" Their attitude led them to quit following THE way that would have led them to life! (John 6:60,66-68) How dangerous & contrary to what we *want* to succumb to a similar attitude when it comes to things which we really should rejoice over! Our perspective or attitude can only aid us IF we reflect Christ' mental disposition. He *refused* to be intimidated by ones *not* doing things the way he was doing them. He never shrank back from doing what he was *committed* to or in fulfilling his commission he felt was right.
I hope each of you who have read this far have been given something to meditate on that will lead you to new discoveries in your own personal journey!
It is *his* Master-hand that will teach me to be the Artist I so desire to be! :D
