Raye's Journal, 24 February 2009

I find that I am quite tired all the time. I sometimes sleep ten and eleven hours at night, and still wake up exhausted. I have been doing what I think I should be doing: eating every three hours, keeping my calories below 1000 a day, getting one treat each day, exercising every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, have AMAZING support from my Momma and brother, and staying confident. Momma thinks I am eating too little, but I disagree. I am trying to drop twenty pounds by May; is that an improbable goal? Oh, well.

Actually you're mommy is quite correct, your eating way to little. 1000 calories per day + doing excersises is not healthy. You have to upgrade that to atleast 1500 calories also you have to take notes how many you burn so you can do it more accuaretly.

I would increase the calories if you are tired. Most nutritionists say you can't possibly get proper nutrition on less than 1200 a day. Play around with them and see what you can eat and still lose. There are sites that you can plug in information and they tell you how many you can eat in order to lose. Also, maybe a multivitamin might help. If you don't eat enough to fuel your metabolism, it will slow down and if your calories are too low, how will you cut more to lose (if you stop losing on less than 1000). Make sure you are getting enough protein, that helps give you energy. Good luck!
