Christiana's Journal, 26 January 2011

Ok so today was my first day at the gym. As I thought the treadmill and the elliptical were fun but I do think that it will be good to supplement treadmill miles with my cross-country track here at the house. Treadmills are very one dimensional except for the inclines but the speed control was nice. I will have to acclimate myself to running on a treadmill again, its really weird to focus on keeping my pace even and straight. Then I played around on the machines some, nothing very serious though. It’s that time of the month and I wasn’t feeling 100% today. Even though I didn’t hit the gym very hard I was really tired this afternoon. I had to take me a little power nap before dinner and studying for my first exam tomorrow.

We also have lots of family visiting this week. My uncle and his wife, their daughter, her husband and their 3 week old baby boy. So things have been a little crazy the last few days and I’m going to be making my homemade chocolate chip soft-baked cookies for dessert tomorrow. My worst temptation is the cookie dough and a cookie hot from the oven. I will try to limit it to one but they’re tasty little buggers.

Plans for tomorrow. Pass test, classes, gym, and cookies.
