CORE PLAN, DAY 1: Wednesday: Today I am starting the Core Plan, full force. I think it might end up being the best fit for me. I'm hopeful, anyway.

I want to apologize to all my buddies for being absent since I started my climb up the weight scale. I've been seriously "out to lunch." LOL! Just can't get my mind around my own self-therapy. I know it's a form of running away, so I'd like to be more accountable to you guys, as well as to myself. So I'm going to start commenting more on your journals. That's what this site is all about, and I've been neglecting it.

I'm down emotionally. But I know I won't be able to pull myself back up until I get my weight going down again. It's unfortunate that I get so wound up in this whole process. And then I blow it. I don't want to hit bottom before I start working again. So I'm going to be working really hard to stick to my new eating plan. This shouldn't be this hard to do. I've done it before. No more self-sabotaging!

Hope everyone else out there is having success!

I completely understand how weight can tie in with emotions. I have several medical conditions that would be better controlled with certain meds that I refuse to take because of the weight gain likelihood. What I just try to remind myself over and over again, no matter how much I don't want to hear it, is that this too will pass, your mood will pick back up, and you will do this! The fact you are so honest here convinces me that you can and will do it this time. Go for it girl!

Good luck on the new plan...Ive been considering switching to core myself. I have allowed myself WAY too much leeway with my points!! Let us know how that is working for you. I think I wanted to switch because I need a jolt of some sort to help me stay on track. ----well, Good luck again!! At least you are starting, even though it is again!!

Thanks for the birthday comment! So cute. : ) And don't be down. You have made a commitment to yourself to do this for you, so you should be happy and proud of yourself that you're taking a step in the right direction. I'm confident this will work for you. Go get 'em!

I don't know what the Core Plan is but it sounds good. Don't let *anything* get you down Debbra, life is too short. Just do the best you can and try to focus on what you think will do you the most good. You will be feeling better in no time at all...

You can do it!! Of course we are here for you, and love your support but you come first. This site, this new lifestyle change to become healthy and strong is for you. Keep up the hard work, while not being so hard on yourself. You can do this. Maybe each time you have the cravings to self sabotage you should brush your teeth. I drink water, brush my teeth and wait. Normally the toothpaste taste makes me crave less. Much less. Good luck!!
