BuffyBear's Journal, 05 March 2014

I hate to sound like I'm doing product endorsements, but I've been using something so great I feel the need to share - BOLTHOUSE FARMS YOGURT Salad Dressings - For blue cheese lovers, 2 Tbs Chunky Blue Cheese has only:
35 calories
1 gram carb
1 gram fat
But it tastes like it has a million calories.

They aslo make Ranch and Parmigiano flavors, but their counts are a little higher (45 cals. & 3 Carbs).

BTW - you can get it in the produce aisle (usually next to Marie's dressings).

Tell me what you think!

LolaGurl - Food Lion is big in my area so that is where I buy it. Saratyler gets hers at Publix. Some Wal-Marts carry it, but not all.

Mrsmole - the vinaigrette is too sweet for my taste. If they discontinue the Yogurt Blue Cheese I am going to sit and cry (literally).

Yummy I also like the "LiteHouse" brands because they have no additives and taste pretty darn good, too.

Thanks for the tip, I bought OPA Yogurt Cesear dressing and it's pretty close to that. There was no blue cheese, and I LOVE blue cheese, will look for this brand you speak of. :)

Will have to try it. I like making dressings but I love having some already made especially putting a last minute salad or veggies in my lunch at 5:30 am, definitely no fuss at that hour!!

I went to 3 stores. And they were either not being stocked or just out. I tried something called Walden Farms. Yuck. It's ZERO everything and tastes like it. I doctored it up a tad today with fat free sour cream, stevia and cider vinegar. Tastes better then the original. But 0 calories isn't worth it.

I actually found it at Walmart yesterday. It was right next to Marie's Chunky Blue Cheese, which is what I usually get. I haven't tried it yet though.

Looks like I will be adding that to my wish list as well. Thanks, Buffy!
