I'm doing a spiritual fast right now to cleanse mind and body. I'm really hoping that by the end of it (this coming Sunday), I will feel energized and renewed. I've been working out pretty vigorously and I'm noticing a drop in energy. I need to make sure I have a cup of liquid soup or a smoothie for energy before my next workout. I'm noticing my muscles are showing up, but I look and feel thick, not toned. I'm cutting out refined carbs and watching my sodium to combat this water retention. I weighed myself yesterday to find that I've GAINED weight since my diet & exercise regimen. I'm my heaviest at 140, which is quite frustrating, but I'm not going to let it discourage me. I trust the math. Calories in < Calories out.
