Debbie Cousins's Journal, 28 January 2021

Hooray! First day of Keto successful! Kept Net Carbs to 18.50 (7%) and got Fats up to 70%. Drank 80oz of water and walked 6/10th of a mile while grocery shopping (went down some extra rows - was going to do more, but no fun walking with a mask on!) Weight down by 1-1/2 pounds this morning, hallelujah!!! I know it's not "just" the Keto that made the difference, but the several days of reduced calories, as well. SO happy to see the scale finally move again!

@Chow moore, do you know how I can FIND you on HealthyWage so we can be Lifeline buddies? I'd LOVE to do that! Also, @Rckc, @fjasmine, @Sarafinia, @Snowwhite100 - let's all hook up on HW if we can figure out how to do it!

Good for you Debi, 3 weeks ago I started the keto diet, I ended up getting a rash (I have not changed soaps or anything and no new foods) Idk what is going on. I am not adding in some more carbs and protein and reduced the fat intake, though I am having trouble staying in my calorie goal. It is always low. Good luck to you on your journey. Blessings, L

What is a lifeline?
29 Jan 21 by member: lindsaylue
What is a Lifeline? In HealthyWage-speak, a Lifeline is someone who supports a HealthyWager participant during their weight loss journey. Lifelines provide encouragement and motivation, just like they would in real life. Why is this important? Lifelines help HealthyWagers win! Your friend is putting money on the line in a serious bid to achieve life-changing weight loss. Your service and support are important! What do I have to do? Give your friend the serious support that they need to achieve this life-changing goal. That’s it! Your job as a Lifeline is primarily to be there for your friend. You’ll get notified when they weigh-in and post photos so that you can cheer them on. Lifelines are REALLY important in helping HealthyWagers reach their life-changing goal.
