Awake since 3:30 am… thats what happens when DH had been in CA & flew the red eye home the night before… but just because he's in who knows what time zone, does he have to get me there too by tossing, turning, sighing, & eventually noisily getting up. Oh well, the good part is, I've been to tabata spin, grocery shopped, got the car washed & fueled, and even took a cat nap already! After I got home at 8:30, I was exhausted & got a 10-minute power nap so feeling better & with some energy again! Thank goodness as I need to pack for a weekend away at a small ski mountain in PA with SIL & her family. I love this SIL & her crew, so even though this midwestern gal doesn't downhill ski (I tried, but found x-country & snowshoeing were more my speed), I know it'll be fun.
And, I'm feeling good & strong as I stay my course gluten, lactose & sugar aware, and am bringing some healthy food options to eat if needed. Even though weekends have been more challenging for me, I'm looking at this one again as another opportunity to continue building my healthy eating & living highway and starting sealing it by making new healthier habits, one at a time.
But, now before I must get on my way, I'll start in prayer --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
And I'll pray, breathe, log, journal & express my way on this one day and through each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion. I'm more grateful for each of you than I could ever say, as well as for my family & IRL friends, a fun weekend with not so frigid temps, catnaps (I may try for 2 today!), and having the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox
