10th/120 til eval
Thinking it's time to refresh my knowledge of Atkins Induction. Not sure how much fat is allowed daily. Been doing Atkins/modified which essentially means a low carb diet.
I made asparagus wrapped w prosciutto yesterday. It was delicious and a fun to eat. I'll repeat that a few times.
I had 3 pieces of polish sausage. ding ding ding. not worth it. When I entered into diary I didn't know it was going to put the fat off the chart. So, must get a better handle on my food intake and program.
I tanned, because I had my son drive me and I'll go to the gym just to use their strengthening machines when he drops off his gf. Works for me and him. I just don't want to drive in these frigid temps.
My body is sore so must be doing something right. Been home exercising. I need to amp my water intake and not so much at night. Had to get up once while sleeping, and I never have to get up once.
Bored w house cleaning (my means to a workout). It helped to amp the music around the house so I danced.
It's also time to figure out more of this site, which I'm not eager to do.
I'm good, just need a change up. Probably this weather is affecting my mood.

To our svelte success!

Leslie

Hi Leslie, I took a peek at your food journal and actually your fat intake for Atkins induction is a little low. For induction, you want to shoot for 70% fat, 25% protein and 5% carbs, while keeping your net carbs at or under 20g (and 15 of those should come from non-starchy veggies). Many of us, me included, have trouble keeping our fat UP! Your calories are really low too, are you recording everything you eat? There is some terrific information on the Atkins site, and I especially like the Low Carb Daily Check In group on this site. It's very active and has lots of recipe links, etc. Good Luck! Kimberly

http://www.phlaunt.com/lowcarb/nutrientCalc.php Check out this nutrient site. It makes recommendations for your daily fat/protein/calorie(?)intake based on ketogenic (Atkins) diet. It helped me shoot for daily balance and I'm trying to stay under 20 carbs per day.
