Tulipgirl6's Journal, 22 January 2014

I have an official weigh in tomorrow and I didn't do so great this week, because I didn't get to do my cardio sessions . . ...

Tulipgirl16, you have a very hard task in front of you and that is being the best mother ever. Your kids dont understand weigh-ins or cardio sessions. They just want their Mom. Find the joy in those children again and I think you will find the joy in self! Dont let anyone or anything bring you down, do strive to be the best you can be both for yourself and your children. Being a good mother is a 24/7 job. There is never time off. Remember, it is the #1 hardest and most important job in the world. We have today...another chance to get it right!

I agree with Hoffner, but I think you need some time for yourself as well. Your children are small and you are going through one of the most stressful years of parenting. The early toddler years and then the teenager years. It's going to be fine. Definitely try to get in your workouts as it might help with stress. If not that, then a nice bubble bath when the kids are napping. Just some down time might give you back your zest.

Hey gal, you're an inspiration, don't let a foot of snow or 'negative thoughts' rule the roost. Remember these are the days you'll cherish in a few years. You won't be able to turn back the clock of time to do those things with the kids you'll wish you had done. I recall 'forcing' my daughter to climb Humbug Mountain, I connived her into running along the trail so she wouldn't whine about being carried and we ran into her older sister and her boyfriend on the way back down. Decades later she blurts out, "Humbug Mountain was one of my favorite hikes and loads of fun camping, I just loved running along the trails and having a great time." News to dad, the rest of the family enjoyed our outings there but she never indicated that she cared for it when young.

thanks everyone! I don't know why i was feeling kind of down! today is a new day! I have so many things to be happy with; my baby is adorable and the view and sunshine in my house is keeping me warm and cozy today! (never mind that the car door was frozen shut this morning!)

I didn't do much better with the kids today . . .. Is it that they can be seriously annoying, or am I easily annoyed?
