PAGE TURNER's
Today is another page turner, literally, I'm keeping track of my weigh-ins on a yellow tablet of paper and today started a new page. This is the 5th in this journey and I've seen my weight drop from 241 on October 1st to 221 this morning. I've got a pound to lose before tomorrow's official weigh-in for the challenge, but I think I'll just skip dinner. While there have been some minor fluctuations, the pattern is consistent and that is I'm losing a pound a week.
What I've found that helps is to set mini-milestones. For example, this page (runs from Jan 21 thru Feb 17) has weekly mini's, to lose a pound each week, and on the Feb 5th to increase my H2O intake to half my body weight. That's going to be 109 ounces. I found two water containers (Deer Park) at the local gas station/mart and they were 50OZ bottles. So I bought two, so those and 1 extra 8 oz glass and I'm good to go.
Thanks to everyone for supporting me in this journey. Have a great (albeit cold) day.

Never2old, you have done a great job in your weight management! Walking is so great, too! I am still figuring out what kinds of foods I am willing to eat. I log my food on another website, so I am too lazy to do it all again here, but I have started using my yellow tablet by logging my calcium. I write down my daily calcium in the foods I eat, including the 600 mg capsule I take at bedtime. Every Sunday after dinner, I calculate my total calcium for the week and divide it by 7 days. If it is 1200 mg, then I don't take the Sunday night capsule. If I am short of 1200 mg, then I take it. I used to take 2 capsules every night no matter what I ate, just to be on the safe side. You know the label on the bottle says to take 2! Since I found out my calcium in my foods, I don't have to take 2 capsules every night, just 1, and even Sunday night I might not take it. I'm going to start logging my weight on the yellow tablet, too.

Great job! I imagine drinking lots of water during the cold months would be a challenge I itself. I live in Aussie where we are sweltering in this heat, have a shower and no such thing as drip dry, you just stay wet with perspiration! So drinking water seems pretty easy. Such a good idea having paper with a weight graph!
