Another good night of sleep under my belt and I am feeling great! I am 1 lb up this morning, it's all good :). Let's face it, there will be ups and downs in this journey. I refuse to be worried about these blips when I know my goal and know that I am eating on plan. Since October 23 when I decided to go low carb, I have not looked back. My commitment and resolve is in steel. I know there may be times when I will go higher in carbs and protein than I would normally (eg: Christmas) but I am still on the same road to continue this way of life forever. If I worry about every blip in the scale, I will likely become unhinged. So, I have decided not to be a slave to the numbers and to focus on my health and wellness. I will take care of myself and exercise my body so that I become stronger/healthier every day. It took me many years to gain this weight. As I became more and more sedentary (I have every excuse in the book for this, especially work) I could feel my body crying out for help. I didn't listen until now ..... but that's what is important, I listened now and I can turn things around. What I've discovered is that it's never too late to adopt a healthy lifestyle and to get fitter. This is my year! ROAR!!!
