Beware of sabotage in the home! I got kayboshed BIG TIME by my husband who got home late last night -- after I'd had all my calories for the day -- carrying a big bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken, a bottle of my favourite whisky, two chocolate bars, a cream-sponge cake, AND a large multipack of crisps. All the stuff that made me fat before. Clearly, my current healthy eating ethos is not getting through to him! The smells were too much for me and, before I even knew it, two pieces of KFC had magically jumped into my mouth...*sigh* Went to bed early to avoid any more slip-ups. Back on track again today.

Two pieces aren't going to knock you off the wagon - especially as you're back on track today. What often seems like sabotage - and yes, I went thru that feeling often - I finally recognized as merely existing and not placing as much emphasis on the WOE as we were. I had a complete immature meltdown when Blondie gave me chocolate dipped strawberries for Valentines day - did not handle it gracefully. For months it seemed everyone was out to get me. Finally I recognized just my change in consumption was consuming ME 24/7 it wasn't everyone around me nor should it. And the reality is ... that stuff, none of it, made you fat, nor did it me. Eating too much of it made me fat. Even healthy food - while needing a higher quantity to reach the density of the same calories - will add to weight gain if it's more than the body needs.

I would nicely ask your spouse to respect your efforts and not bring those foods into the home anymore. If he wants to eat them, he can do so out of the home.
