Okay, so my scales do not like me. They will not just move down for me. No matter how much I beg, they will not budge. So, I decided last night to cut out my beloved Diet Cherry 7UP. I already gave up my Diet Coke last week; no caffeine in over a week! Good job me. There are a few things that I think may have contributed to this stall. Could it be the aspartame in my pop? It didn't seem to matter last week. Could it be that for two days I couldn't get myself to eat much? May have put me into starvation mode. Could it be that I'm doing more exercises? Hopefully building more muscle. All I can do is tackle the first two, and keep doing the third. I have to keep believing in the end result. I've gone too far into this to give up. I try not to let it frustrate me, but being honest, when I have my morning meeting with my scales, it is VERY frustrating. But luckily, it's making me that much more determined. I just hope that by the end of this week, I see some change. Good change that is. Even just a fraction would be nice. We will see! The part that bothers me most is that I haven't cheated once, unless of course you consider the diet caffeine free pop. That's a goner though! Just have to smile and work harder! What a tease this week has been considering last week's results. Blah!

Maybe it's b/c now that you've "settled" into your diet... your body is catching up with all the exercise and the changes you've made. I think once your body realizes what's going on... it will start losing again!! **Fingers crossed**

Thanks guys! I sure hope something changes eventually! I have never been this determined. One great thing is, I feel awesome for not having any caffeine. I actually don't feel like a walking zombie with all 4 of my boys. Love that part of it! :)

Do you like green tea? It is good for your body and it has caffine. At least the kind I have. It keeps me awake. And, I am NOT a morning person but I need to be for my family. Once it wakes me up, I am up. I also, learned how to drink black coffee. I use to like the sugar/cream. Now, I drink a cup black if I really need the pick me up. I am praying that the numbers go down for you, with all your hard work!

Would it be and option for you to only weigh once a week? I know it can be a difficult habit to break, but sometimes we obsess over the number when what really matters is how you feel and how your clothes are fitting. Just a suggestion! Good luck girl!

Yeah, I admit it! I am obsessed with the scales. It was just coming off so quickly last week, and now nothing. I should have someone hide them from me! I'm a scales junkie! ;)

I think i am going to let my husband hide my scales in the back of his truck under his tools. He knows i will NEVER go in there! Maybe hiding them is a good suggestion becaue if i weigh for the third day tomorrow and still at 240.0 i am going to cry and eat! lol

I agree Raych - I had to hide my scale. My weight loss for the first 5 months was fast. So everyday I'd hop on the scale and see a good drop. That doesn't happen anymore and I had to put the scale away. I was starting to get discouraged. Now, I check about 3 times a week (still too often) and am trying to hold myself to just once a week. I haven't gotten there yet but I'm trying :).

Well Dana, don't do that! LMAO! This is my 4th day without change! It's total BS! Maybe we should just run them over with a truck! Hmmm?? Then maybe they'll show us what we want to see! TLR4615, did you have the kind of stalls I'm having this soon. I've only been on the diet for about a week and a half!

Well, since you already named off all the reasons you might be stalling, I won't be redundant. :) Just be patient. I'm a loose-then-staller too, even though I don't cheat. Eventually, though, it does come off. I have to avoid aspartame too.

Hi Raych - I didn't stall this soon. But, I also didn't work out like you are. I think you are doing it right...diet and exercise. Have you determined how many calories you are consuming. Might be worth it to take a detailed look at your carbs, fiber, protein, calories, etc.

Well everyone, I lost 1 lb! I am soooooooooo excited!!! As far as calories and such, I pay very close attention. I'm struggling to make sure I eat enough and get enough carbs. I just have no appetite, although it's working right now. I'm starving. I'm trying to make sure I eat every so often even if I'm not hungry. I'm sure I'm driving my hubby nuts with all the carb babble! Luckily, he's very supportive and helps me in the store! Oh, and I had absolutely nothing yesterday to drink besides water! Yuck! But if that's what it takes, so be it! I feel GREAT and that should be the most important thing; although the scales showing loss helps it be awesome! Thank you EVERYONE! Your support it so very helpful to me! ;)
