I'm feeling good today! I have had my last fast food cheeseburger for a while. I have set a goal for myself to not eat fast food for atleast my first 20lbs lost, and if not, continue further from that point. That is my weakness, french fries and cheeseburger. Oh sweet sweet delicious weaknessess! I'm happy to remove that food from life. However, it will be a hard feat for the first few days...maybe weeks...maybe months...because my boyfriend loves a cheeseburger, and they seem to love him too because he can eat about a million of them and never gain a pounds. *sigh* in a perfect world...But, I can't wait to quit eating crap and feel fantastic again! It shall be sooner than I think, I think..

Not a direct quote, but one that fuels me in every endevour:

"Every 1000mi journey begins with just one small step"

...or something of that nature.

Its going to get a LOT easier, I promise. I gave up fast food entirely for months and after a while I stopped missing it entirely. Even when my husband would bring that nasty stuff home it never phased me. Im rather active now and the most interesting happened to me, i had a weekend where I ate fast food two days in a row, a minor slip up in the grand scheme of things. Anywho, when i went to

I used to not eat it as much until I finished high school and my Momma's home cookin' wasn't a nightly luxury. Then about 2 years ago I quit eating fast food and didn't eat it for about 6 months, and I felt so good. I felt sick just driving by a McDonald's....and now I'm back into my old habits again. You practically need a cup to catch my drool when I smell those delicious french fries. Patty129 I would love to be your friend and support!

I like that you are giving up cheeseburgers for a certain amount of time "for the first 20lbs" I think we set ourselves up when we just use open ended goals like "no more sugar" Who can do that...? So I'm going to join you starting tonight and say...no more sweets..candy cookies, ice cream cake or pie..until I hit 120...that's 13lbs from my last weigh in.. Thanks for the great inspiration... Oh, and my husband is the same way...candy all the time and doesn't gain an ounce.
