I have a food problem. I LOVE it!

I'm looking at my diet calendar and noticing how much cheese I'm eating. Even though it's not the Medium block of cheese I used to eat all the time, I'm still eating it way too much! I cut out the blocks of cheese, now I just need to cut down on how much cheese I am eating each day to like 1 thing of string cheese or 1 babybel.

My son will be home on Sunday and I won't have alcohol anymore which will help with my calories (I only tend to have a few drinks when he's not around). Actually, I am planning on having drinks New Year's Eve, planning on going off my plan that one night and getting right back into it the next day. And that's okay with me. I can take a night off to do what I want! I don't want to be lectured about it, it's my life!

I have lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks and I'm happy about that. I have a plan, I eat healthy foods, I have cut my soft drinks from 6 to 3 already, and I get more exercise now than I think I ever did growing up. I am getting more excited thinking that I can actually do this.

Do you ever see thin people complain because they had too many calories the day before? Not really...they just watch themselves the next day! Do you ever see thin people not eat something because "it's not on my diet"? Not really...they just have a little bit of what they are craving and be done with it! I am getting into a "thin" mentality. I am eating much healthier than ever before, shopping at Whole Foods and buying more fruits and veggies. I have tons of thin friends who eat normally, they don't freak out over little stuff. They don't weigh themselves every day to make sure they aren't gaining a pound.

I want to make friends and get support on here. I don't want people to say "You are doing this wrong" or "Are you sure you want to do this" or "I don't think you are ready to change your lifestyle". To them, I say PLEASE DON'T COMMENT. If I ask for support or suggestions, give me suggestions..don't say I'm not good at it. Well DUH..do you think I would be here if I was good at this???

Anyway, off my soapbox! I am happy today and having a good day. I hope everyone has a GREAT New Year's!!!

I, too, am a cheese lover. I don't plan on cutting it out, but I've started getting the 2% varieties (especially string cheese and cottage cheese, which is my new favorite snack) and if I put it on a sandwich or salad I shred it very fine so it feels like more. Let me know if you have any other tips on getting your fix! Keep up the good work, you sound like your doing great!

I LOVE mozzarella cheese! My issues is, I can't eat the part skim stuff. I can cook with it, but I can't eat it as is. Lol. But I've been good about keeping it under control! Thin mentality is a great idea! I'm def giving myself a cheat day on New Years Eve! No need to bog myself down counting all the little snacks and booze! Good luck!

Good idea on the thin mentality!!!! Your so right. My skinny friends at work always eat what they want, they just eat smaller portions of everything. So from now on thats my new thought!! I will just have to think and act like a "Skinny Person"!!
