He's probably afraid and just doesn't want to think about it. Guys like to control things and he can't control your labor and delivery. He'll live! =)

Lol!!! He just do happened to walk by the end of the bed after I delivered our 2nd kid and seen the placenta come out. He about passed out holding our daughter. He was as white as a ghost and handed the baby to his mom so he could sit down. I still die laughing every time I think about it. When he seen them give me an epidural on our 4th kid he turned white as a ghost and got sick to his stomach. I was having horrible contractions and he was trying to help me hold still. But I still love him to death. He he will gladly help me go to the bathroom and change pads and all that stuff after I have a baby. He is definitely a keeper. ;)

I'm kind of like joining FS again and saw this post. When I delivered my daughter my husband happened to watch the doctor remove the placenta. After everything was cleaned up and taken away they decided to bring us a late night dinner, they brought him a bloody roast beef sandwich, lol. He was so totally grossed out!

Obviously, I've never given birth. Duh. But I've had pains that I would describe as "I never knew anything could hurt this much". I have had severe, insane back pains that were cribbling me. Today, I remember that it hurt, but I honestly don't remember the feeling of the actual, physical pain. I think it's our mind protecting us. I KNOW how much it hurt. I remember that it hurt. I just don't remember the pain. Weird, huh?

That is awesome that you gained so little weight! I'm excited to see who is in your belly too!! I'm sure your husband will get over his nerves once he's holding the baby. :)

Lol, so true you never forget. I've had all 4 of mine naturally and the pain is insane. I was creaking out in labor with this last one because it was end of labor pains at like 4 cm and I was terrified it was going to be hours and hours like that. Thankfully it was only like 2, but they still felt like 10! But your right once they are in your arms you don't care, its the greatest feeling in the world! I know my hubbub gets nervous too. Mostly because he has another human being to be responsible for both emotionally and financially. But he loves it at the same time. Glad your doing so well on your gain, that's awesome!
