This month is Muscle Month! Starting today LOL. I have lost weight since the beginning but I am sorta flabby and icky LOL. So from today I will be working on growing some muscles and toning up and looking less like a huge soft wrinkly marshmellow....



Off to workout on my Wii!!!!!!

did a 45 minute workout that also focused on arm muscles. I am pretty sure the sorest one was my batwings LOL. I did all the arm exercises with weights even when it wasn't required so it was a harder workout. I want to be sore tomorrow - then I know I have worked hard LOL

I love my Wii. I am looking forward to getting back on the routine again. I went all day yesterday without coughing my head off. What is your favorite exercise with the Wii? Bren

Thanks Laurie! I found the batwing muscle! I could feel it so tight when I did a specific exercise, but my arms are not sore this morning so maybe I need even heavier weights. It did hurt at the time though! LOL At the moment My Fitness Coach, but I do enjoy the proper boxing too with wii sports i think it is....

Hmm thats odd, I expected to be sore today in my arms and I am not. Do you think I should have used even heavier weights?

Sounds like you stressed your muscles but they've recovered. I'd keep the same weights and see how you feel after a week. If you don't get sore during the workout and you aren't sore the next day, then experiment with increasing the weight maybe every other day and go from there. JMHO, I'm certainly NOT a fitness expert!!! LOL!!

I got sore during the batwing exercise, could almost feel a hard knot in there LOL Must be a pea sized muscle or something! ROFL!!!!

Squiggs come work out with my personal trainer! Ugh we did arms last night and my biceps and pecs are SUPER sore today from last night and today I took an hour long Pilates class focusing on abs and legs... I will be feeling that tomorrow! Now tomorrow is the big leg day and cardio! I am able to work out almost every day at the gym... it helps but I've got a long way to go before I'm not flabby.

Oh boy I would love to have a personal trainer! I will have to do with my Wii though. Sore sounds good! LOL. What sort of exercises did he/she make you do?

Squiggs, great job with the workout! If you did the workout and it hurt while doing it, and you added weight, then you are doing just fine. You can up the weight if you want, but don't overdo!

squigg i would say leave the weight where it is and mybe increase only your reps. this way you will tone but not bulk up! when you are done the muscles should feel shaky and tired. soreness comes from not stretching after the work out you don't have to hurt to know you did some good, just be flat out tired and have problems holding your water bottle lol! oh and if you don't feel like a nap when its over do it again! ha ha good luck! it is really hard getting started.

Thanks Stef! Yeah the Wii trainer hardly worked with weights at all but I felt that it was useless without them. Today I will be doing ummm legs maybe i think, or core - heck my whole body needs it LOL

Okay thanks Restless, sounds like I need to tell the Wii to make it harder LOL. I may end up having to do my own reps after the workout. I do have all sorts of weights etc so I have enough stuff, just need to bossiness LOL

Yeah an army man would make a good personal trainer LOL. I am an army brat myself, Dad is long retired now though. They build them tough! Can you ask him what are the best exercises for toning up batwings? thanks LOL
