HOLIDAY SURVIVAL CHALLENGE - Week 3....

This week we need to submit a Survival Recipe. I will probably share a couple. I have a few borrowed ones from friends that were wonderful for Thanksgiving. And I have a couple others in mind for Christmas. I'm also really excited to see other ideas!!

I had a rough couple days at work. We were super busy - and then I got home and couldn't sleep. This morning I finally fell asleep at about 7:30am!! So my sleep schedule is going to be really messed up for a couple days. That really messes with me when that happens. Even when I work until 2:30am and get in bed, finally, at about 3:30am, I like to be out of bed by about 10 or 10:30am. That way I can still have a somewhat normal day. This sleeping until 1:30pm is really bad - its hard to get anything done, too!

I broke the barrier today!! I'm down 1/2lb!! I'm happy with that! I think water was the key. I have been really drinking my water the last couple days. Oh, and plus I've been really on plan, feeling good. But...of course there has to be one shortfall...I have completely forgotten to take my vitamins this last week. I'm not sure why or how...it just hit me last night that I haven't been taking them. How does one do that? - I went for months taking my multivitamin and my fish oil pill. Then, just for no reason at all, I have completely forgotten to take them. I thought it was a habit now, but apparently not.

This taking care of the body is really hard work. I was thinking yesterday how much time we spend and all the things we do to make ourselves look decent. If I'm doing everything I should do to keep this body of mine well I need to go through all the following motions:
- get up at a decent time
- do some yoga
- shower
- shave the parts that need shaving
- put lotion on when I get out of the shower
- eat a good breakfast
- brush my teeth
- put moisturizer on my face
- put on eye cream
- put make up on
- take my vitamins
- put medicated lotion on my feet (I have exzema real bad on my feet)
- wear decent shoes
- eat a healthy lunch
- drink lots of water throughout the day
- get in a good workout
- make a healthy dinner and eat it
- trim my toenails if needed
- file my nails and buff
- use the pedi-egg or other buffer on my feet
- paint toenails (if needed)
- put medicated lotion on my feet again.
- take my vitamins again
- drink more water
- wash my face
- put moisturizer on my face
- use eye cream again
- pluck eyebrows, if needed
- brush my teeth
- floss
- do yoga if I didn't do it in the morning
- put lotion on my hands before bed and lip balm on my lips
- make sure I have a clean bed and enough moisture in the air in my bedroom
- go to bed at a decent time and get a good night's sleep

Did I forget anything? If I factor in the time that I spend buying the groceries and planning meals in order to eat right; buying beauty supplies, etc., it really gets rough. It is amazing that any of us has time to do other things!!! This body, as good as it is to me, is really a lot of work to keep up!! :)

Have a great day everyone!!
