beyond demoralized. I've lost my way. It's only 5 pound, but symbolically it's failure, lack of discipline, and movement away from my goals towards an aging future that falls short of expectation. and then there's the 5 pounds.....

Know you can jump back on the band wagon. You’ve seen your weakness so now all you need to do is pick yourself up by your boot straps - know you can do it

Oh how I hate not being 25 anymore. 😒 You are awesomely fit and most would kill to look like you, but... I get it. It isn't about where we are, it is the comparison to where we want to be. One foot in front of the other is all we can do.

It really depends on what the 8lbs is. My body can easily hold on to 5lbs of water just from bloat (I am 6’2”) when I am past my FODmap threshold I can hold more in bloat. A gallon is over 8lbs and after a surgery, I peed over 1000 ml (a little over a liter) and that’s just what my bladder was holding. They didn’t want me to drink too much water beforehand. So it had to come from somewhere. Our muscles can hold on to a bit as well.
So it really depends on what the weight is, not the lbs. It took me soooo long to start to grasp this, it’s still tough not to think about the numbers. So, I found some new numbers to look at with the workouts. I like seeing those numbers rise. Stay focused, love yourself as much as anyone else. ❤️

Ha- You are more fit than people half your age and 95% of FS. Maybe it's a mid-life crisis. Work hard and stick with it. I'm having difficulty seeing a reason to be this upset but maybe I just lack your dedication or long ago accepted the realization that I got too big to ever have a fantastic body. What about body dysmorphia? Your pics don't show anything but results of hard work! 💪🏻🏋🏻♂️
