D , I read that I should add a 30 minute session once per week of a cardio session like sprints or something to my workout. Supposedly this stimulates your metabolic side. Do you know if this is true? Thoughts?

If you remember where you read it maybe you can link the article. As far as I know a little cardio can help alleviate muscle soreness so it may indirectly help you make more muscle gain since you may be more likely to push yourself again sooner. Also, the best cardio to do if you want to keep your lean mass would be short high intensity bouts rather than endurance training. A 1-3 mile run rather than 5-10, for example.

Thanks for the article. I sometimes get flack over the lack of cardio I do at the gym..I use treadmill, bike, and elliptical for a warm up only and then go straight into weight training. I prefer weights to cardio classes. I up my protein to help get that lean body and I am moving more towards CICO. (instead of concentrating so much on carb n fat intake) I know we have slightly different views on that but I appreciate your knowledge.
The only cardio class I was doing was. Tabata class once a week, but since quarantine they no longer offer it...

I get the second bullet point in without problems but the top one...over 5000 steps is my current goal to meet daily, not just 4-5 times a week.

My runs are my cardio, and I always get a good lift on throughout the week! Since I switched my focus to more weightlifting, I’ve lost over 10lbs of fat and got my BMI to a healthy range for my age and height. 24.1! And I look damn good too! I took a screenshot of this to keep as a reminder! Thanks for posting!!

Me i need it. Trapped on a computer all day. It helps my lungs function better. Course cardio can be part of strength like a TRX workout.

Each of my sets of squats leaves me feeling like I ran a long sprint. Heavy plus so deep that you're sitting on your calves will do that.
