Another discovery on this weight loss journey - planning what I am going to watch when I workout the next day is just as important as planning my meals. People laugh when I credit television for my weightloss, but it's no laughing matter - watching a show I'm into makes my workout far less stressful, and I barely notice I'm doing it. On days like today, however, I have nothing prepared and am currently miserably sweating my tushy off waiting for "It's always Sunny in Philadelphia" to load. I'm much more miserable than when I'm distracted.

Today I cleaned for 2 hours straight. I did the bathroom, including tub and toilet and floors. I did the living room and even washed the couches, I did the kitchen including the stove and microwave. I used to be a house keeper so I'm incredibly efficient at housework, I know what to soak and what to let sit while I do other things. Thankfully. Now my house and my room are sparkley and I'm almost done my workout. After my homework is done I think I deserve a gold star for productivity.

My legs are on fire and for the first time I have a terrible cramp - see what happens when I have no TV to watch? I notice my aches and pains. SO, lesson learned. If I want to be successful I have to plan my workouts ahead of time. Thankfully most of the shows I watch air on Thursdays, so I'm full of options for tomorrow :)

I don't know if anyone ever reads this, it's hard making buddies on FS but I am trying - I comment on peoples things constantly. It helps keep me motivated. If you want to buddy up with me, I'm in this for the long haul.

Even my ever critical mother told me today that she's very impressed with the changes I've made and how long I've "stuck to 'it'", I told her that there was no 'it' and that this is LIFE. Okay, maybe my shows more loaded. I have less tha 20 to go anyway.

I hadn't even thought about planning what tv show to watch while I exercise. I have a TiVo so I always have good stuff recorded. Our journals help us express our dieting fears, successes and problems. Thank you for sharing your ups and downs. It helps the rest of us too.
