I need motivation!!!! This month I have worked hard. I work out 6 days a week, I only eat what I'm supposed to and I only lost 5 lbs this month!! I don't want to lose my motivation but it's hard when the scale doesn't move. ive tried changing up my workouts, I've tried eating different foods in case my body was getting use to what I was doing and eating. What else should I do? I eat low fat/low carb, no more than 1000 calories a day. i work out 45 minutes a day a mixture of elliptical, exercise bike and/or Body Groove dance videos. I miss wine! I miss sugar! I miss potatoes! :-(

More than likely your body is used to the workouts you're doing. So try making them more challenging or switching them up all together. Adding weight training and more protein to your diet can help. You can also try HIIT exercises. Also don't forget to drink lots of water, this helps immensely with weight loss. Hope some of my suggestions are helpful. Just remember we all have ups and downs with weight loss. So don't be discouraged, you got this. 💪🏽Good luck! 😊

❤ Thank you! I will try changing up my workout more. I have added some HIIT (with Body Groove) and they are tough!!! I could also do better with my water intake.

You're very welcome! 😊💕 Yes HIIT exercises are quite hard. I only do them if I hit a plateau. 😅

5 lbs? That's great. Sometimes you start losing less weight than when you started, but girl, 5 lbs is 5 lbs. Be proud of yourself! Keep in mind, when you work out you're building muscle too. This means not only are you losing weight with fat, but gaining some back with muscle. Don't worry about it and keep going! Hell, if you keep up 5 lbs a month you'll be crazy fit in no time.

5lb is sustainable loss and not water weight I feel like. Are you weighing and measuring everything you eat? Every morsel, every drop of creamer, every mint etc? I log between 1200-1500 kcal per day but that excludes my creamers and some small snacks. Realistically I eat closer to 1500-2000 kcal per day. It took me some time to figure out my “sweet spot”. My progress is extremely slow and more focuses on building muscle and changing my body composition. I’d also encourage you to measure your progress, the scale is tricky. Good luck! Sounds like you are on the right track!

I'd start by eating more and lifting weights. Eat more protein and fat to fuel your body. 1000 calories isn't enough.

I appreciate everyone's kind words and encouragement. :-) I guess I'm a bit impatient. Ill keep on working hard and it will pay off sooner or later. :-)

5 pounds is great and positive. Think long term, not short term! In 4 months at this rate it will be 20 pounds, which is a lot of weight! Also, as you find your footing and learn along the way, I wouldn't be surprised if this rate went up.

Sometimes it just takes your body to catch up with changes. Keep doing what your doing! There’s no way you won’t teach your goal by doing so. 5 lbs is awesome! Think what a 5 lbs chicken looks like at the store!

It’s not about how much you can do in one day(diet and workouts) it’s about for how long you can persevere.

check out fitnessblender's guide to intuitive eating! what you should eat also partially depends on your genetics as well. don't forbid certain foods or you risk making them more appealing. moderation is better generally.

We are in the same boat!! I’ve been working with a training and have only lost 6-7ish lbs in 3.5 weeks. I say “only” because I’m use to crash dieting, eating 1000 calories a day and doing an hour of cardio. My body is losing lbs slower but I feel better and it’s still progress. A lb a month is great progress over the course of a year, just keep plugging along. Next August’s you will thank you!! 😘

I’m learning from a professional trainer....You need to eat more than you think. Increase the exercise difficulty, and increase your calories 1 to 200 a day. Research it, you’ll see the difference. I’m learning this way.

there is a comment below that I agree with, I would suggest that you eat a little bit more, especially some good healthy fats as they help hormone balance which is critical for weight management. And also a little less cardio and a little bit more resistance training. Build your body don't starve it.

Make sure you're losing fat and not lean mass.

Drink lemon water with apple cider vinegar in the morning and also 30 mins before going to bed. I know how it feels when the scale doesn’t move. But trust me this tonic not only detoxify your body also slash extra fat special around the belly. Good luck.

You have to be patient! I think that 5 pounds is great! Think of where you want to be one year from now and for the rest of your life. You are going to feel awesome and proud in a few months. I find the 1000 low but we are all different.

so that's more than a 3500 calorie deficit per week which is more than enough. Patience.
