I love when the pepperonis curl up into cups like that! That’s a good looking slice. How many cals do you think?

Oops, just edited the post, it said 472 grams which is close to 3-5 slices lol. I meant 472 calories instead of what FS has for a hot n ready slice of pizza from Little Caesars.

Ohh! Makes sense. Wow, that’s really off. I totally agree with this though. I started weighing my sliced bread because the grams listed per slice on the package are way off. A kitchen scale is such a good investment.

Yeah, 840 calories in 3 slices turns into 1416. That's a huge difference. Then you have people on here frustrated that they aren't losing when counting calories without a food scale. Or they are going out to eat 2+ times a week. Well, your math could be way off.

Preach, D! “I just had one slice” can really mean “I just had half a pizza”. Big difference with CICO.

I weigh everything too. Packages for everything are always lower per serving than they really are. Every morning my bagel weighs different grams. Trust the scale in the kitchen, not the bathroom! 🤪

Yeah, even packaged goods. I haven't weighted my pop tarts yet, maybe I should lol

Lol! Wouldn’t you need to weigh all of a poptart’s components separately to get the most accurate cal count? But that’s going into hysterical territory. 😬

Yeah, I should have weighed each pepperoni slice separately as well as the cheese! The bread too! Lol, nah.

Sigh it makes it more depressing lol

I think if I found out that two loop tarts actually have more than 400 calories, I'd cry. 😢😆

We have an OXO scale and weigh everything in grams instead of ounces. Someday, I'll even learn to follow recipes in grams as I've been told is much more accurate - especially for baking but since I'm in the land of low carb, not much baking has been going on as I haven't ventured into the land of almond and coconut flours.

Lol, Princess, that would be terrible but I think those should be pretty much the same give or take a couple grams. Weighing in grams is the way to go.

Cheapest scale I could find at Walmart is what I have. I only weigh things in grams.

28.5g per dry ounce - hope that helps you not replace a perfectly good scale.
