I now know that I need to stay far far away from pasta and bread of all types! I was at a church thing last night and the only choice they had was pasta and garlic bread. So I did good, or so I thought, by only getting a tiny bit of pasta maybe a cup if I was lucky and one piece of garlic bread. when I get home to put in for my carb and calorie count OMG it skyrocketed and I felt so bad because I was trying so hard to keep it low. Ive been getting discouraged lately because it seems like no matter what it is it has carbs and the more I realize how much I was eating before I started looking at the label.

Carbs are really necessary for energy. But focus on the good carbs from fruits and veggies (whole grains,etc.). I lose better when I keep my carbs lower. I try to eat pasta only once a week.

I normally have been staying away from the high carbs and only eating them once a week on my rewards day. I can have a higher carb intake that day. but last night I didn't really have a choice I knew I had nothing made at home because I knew id be eating at the church so I really didn't have a lot of options and I knew it would be really late when I got back home and I didn't want to eat at 10 pm before going to bed. I really just wish I had made better preparations.

Live and learn and get up and keep going. We ALL make MANY MANY mistakes and that's ok! You learn from those mistakes and going forward you are armed to make better decisions. Take your issue last night where the only choice was a bad choice, live and learn from it, maybe next time you know you are going to be eating a church and there is a high chance of carby food, bring your own salad, or better yet bring a huge Ceasar salad to share with everyone. You can bring a small side of precooked chicken four your salad since you will be turning that into your meal. And others will be eating healthy with you. I have faith in you, you can do this. Life is about learning how to be prepaored for the "next time" and make changes for a better future. Also if you know you are going somewhere to eat where the choices will not be good ones, dont be afraid to bring you own meal, they will understand if you are trying to loose weight, even to a restaurant (say a pizza joint). Don't worry about what others tink, if it is in your best interest and you are doing what is right for you that's all that matters. I tell people that I am allergic to stuff that I know will effect my diet in a negative way. I am currently allergic to french fry's and corn chips and nachos (my pitfalls). :o)
