I am on day one of a million attempts. I am so tired of being tired and I know it's partly because of my immense weight. I really am trying to stop eating badly. I am so mad at myself for eating so much this morning but I am going to just move on. I hate being so darn hungry all the time. I don't want to nor can I afford to buy those low cal snack things at the store and usually I don't eat breakfast so by the time dinner comes I pig out so I am hoping with water and my low cal snacks I can get thru this day without going over.

Good luck to you. 💜 Take it one day at a time. Like they say...the weight didn't come on over night so you can't expect to lose it overnight. I too have struggles with being hungry especially at night. You can do it! You are in the right place.

I'm a procrastinator too. And I'm not a breakfast eater. I suspect you're like me, once we eat carbs (other than fresh fruit) it's hard to control eating. I'm refusing to give up. 1,000,001 is the charm! 💛

I started the intermittent fasting and it works. I have about 25 lbs to lose. I give myself a window to eat from 12-6 and consume my 1900 calorie intake between that time. I never eat breakfast so that was easy. My coffee is black so as not to break the fast. So I fast for 18 hrs and only consume water. I still eat anything I want and its working.

Listen-you know there is a problem, and That’s square 1! Good job on knowing what you want! Start slow! Start cutting out small portion off your meal this week, then next week, a little more! Go for a 5 minute walk EVERY day this week, then next week, do more! Start with something small, and work your way up! This isn’t easy, but it can be done! You can do this!!!

As one of the frugal ones on the forum, don't waste your money on low cal snacks. Fruits and veggies are cheaper and better for you. You don't have to cook much to eat well, either. Save your snack money, buy good tools for cooking and live your best life. Even if you don't have time to cook, there are plenty of to go foods like bananas and nuts.

I recently started a program called Bright Line Eating. If you google it you will find all the resources you need. I just started last Wednesday and I have already lost 6 lbs. Its science based in the psychology of eating and food addiction. It is definitely an adjustment but it made so much sense once she laid it all out.

I’m struggling too! But on the other side of the spectrum! We have different issues but the same struggle! Tired of being tired! I’m the worst to offer you advice instead I’m offering you support! I don’t know you but I believe in you. And “ every day we do is a day done!” I’m living by that so hard right now. I’m trying to give my self the discipline to do this all over again tomorrow! 2800 calories is a lot for someone like me and it’s hard to keep going. But today I hit that goal finally. I know you will hit yours too! Believe in yourself you got this!!!!!

Number one thing that helps me-plan my food out for the whole day beforehand. I weigh/measure everything so I know exactly what I'm eating. Expensive foods aren't necessary, keep it simple!

Have faith in yourself Every small change you make will lead you down the right path

I tell my self 'a cut doesn't heal in a day' and neither will my 'injured' body. Balance, spaced 'refueling' is a reasonable plan. Go one day at a time. Good luck!

I started at almost the same weight, in the same situation. I still have burgers, just with turkey and minimal bread. I still have a lot of the same items at home. I just make better smaller choices and it has made a huge difference. No fast food. No soda. Indulge in take out once in a while. I walk in the neighborhood before sunset, sometimes do some yard work to keep busy. It's not easy but I believe in you! Do it for yourself, you will not regret it. You got this!

I might suggest that instead of snacking (because you don’t eat breakfast) to build yourself a light meal mid morning (whenever) that has nutritional value, and that provides your body with fuel . There is no point in restricting food and then losing control and eating everything in the fridge but the steel casing. Rethink this diet change— it is a lifestyle change. Work with different approaches. You have to convince you and your mind that it is not going to live in a state of deprivation. FEED IT, but provide the nutritive element that it requires. This is a long term plan and adjustments will be made as you go along. If you have limited knowledge in the nutritional and weight control arena I would suggest self education and ask your doctor for a consult with a dietician. There are lots of wonderful publications out there that offer terrific recipes and lots of nutritional education for the lay person. I have helped a lot of people on their successful lifestyle change journeys and I ask all of them to subscribe to DIABETIC LIVING magazine or one of the other similar ones. Great educational components. I don’t know if you are diabetic yet or not but it doesn’t matter. As you move on you will have a better sense of a way of eating that will benefit you the most based on gained knowledge. You have to learn portion control. You have to learn to eat healthier most of the time and less healthy occasionally. You have to resign yourself to MOVING more. You have to remove the concept of “cheat meals” from your vocabulary. They are meals that you have planned for and will have incorporated into day. There is no failure, you just keep moving forward. You can do this IF you are willing to negotiate some changes in how you are living. I will delight in watching your progress.

When my doctor Sent me to a nutritionist, she told me you have to EAT to LOSE. I had to write down everything I ate and see her the following week. Like you I thought if I only ate 1x a day I could lose weight. I didn't realize all the food I ate in the one meal. I still struggle, but my portions are smaller and I walk everyday. Good luck, write everything down, stay busy .

Increase your protein and fibrous food. Will help curb hunger! Boiled broccoli with velveeta sliced cheese on top fills me up. Have you ever tried chicken burgers? I sauté onion and red/green pepper then add that to ground chicken. Salt/pepper to taste. Yummy!!
