Starting out on a Monday, a little more than a month after celebrating all of 68 trips around the sun, dating back to 1952. All good weight-wise until college when bad habits such as fast food, candy and alcohol started to show up. A life-long running habit has kept things more or less under control but I've never been able to let go of the 'last' 20 to 25 pounds.

For Day 1 I will note the basics:

Goal weight: 150 lbs which means I've got 28 lbs to lose. No time-frame but sooner is better than later.
Diet plan: try to keep daily calorie count around 2,000 which is more or less where I start to lose weight. I like Dr. McDougall's no fat plant-based diet.
And below is a pic of some sourdough loaves which I bake myself, from a sourdough starter I got going about 2 years ago. I bake 3 loaves every 2 or 3 days and give some away to friends, family and neighbors.
