Took a four-day vacation from work, from dieting...to visit my sister in DC. We ate out all over the place, and a surprising thing happened: By Sunday evening, I was ready to get back to eating right. Four days was all I could take before I started to feel physically uncomfortable. So even though today was a sad day -- one year since my beloved Sheltie Wrigley left us -- I didn't use my sadness as a reason to eat something I shouldn't. I'm looking forward to my unsweetened hot cocoa as my treat for the night, and I'm feeling good about being able to get back to the routine. I guess I won't lose much this month. But I won't gain, either, and I guess that's the best I can hope for.
