Inch by inch, Oz by Oz. Slow but steady. I had a busy day yesterday. I had a brain MRI and chest CT at 1710. My daughter picked me up 1500 so that we could go to the bank. Unfortunately I think here was closed so he drove down to Temecula to find out the Bank closed one minute before we got there. So, with no other resource, we decided to go to Walmart. The instructions when when getting to the radiologist were wait in the parking lot and text you're there. We waited 15 minutes and then Katie went inside and asked if we were supposed to be there. They said to bring me in so and I went. Had the MRI which was always so much fun with the bang bang Wang Wang fitting that goes on. Then I was the score today and where I had the CT and my chest and then I was ready to leave and my daughter suggested that we go to Coco's for dinner. Her dad and I used to go there every Friday night and we would end up getting a prime rib and baked potato and fresh veggies and I always got a ice tea. So of course I couldn't resist. It was the first time I have been I a restaurant this year. Fear of Covid-19 and knowing my assisted living facility would probably object made it only a little less enjoyable but the food was excellent and the memory of a young life with my husband was rewarding. I expected to be rewarded with a weight gain, but I guess I need to wait until next week to see it. I've beeb exhausted but unable to sleep. I don't think they even knock to see if I want breakfast any more. The lunch servers do and am I glad. Today they had shrimp noodle salad, and watermelon, blueberries and strawberry. Well worth getting out of bed at noon. 😁 I was actually invited to eat lunch in the dining room one day this week. Now I have met three residents. Oh, mustn't forget Roxie. She bops in whenever she can. Makes losing my dogs a little easier. Sniffs everything and then someone finds her and takes her home. I misplaced my checkbook this week. Been lookin high and low. It is probably under the bed. Hoping someone will take pity on me and look under there.
