I have been working my butt off for 6 weeks and have only lost about 2 pounds. Tracking everything I eat, staying under my calorie limit except for a little over 1 or 2 days a week (but overall the average is still my RDI 1900), working out or some kind of exercise most days. I can only hope I'm gaining muscle and losing fat... but it's hard to tell! This is what happens every time I try to lose weight, so it's discouraging.

Are you measuring? You are looking very fit. Maybe you are transforming your body and adding nice lean body mass. That is much more important than losing on the scale

Agree with liv. You look great!

Don't get discouraged! A tape measure and body comp scale can give you more data on transformation. And if you feel better then you're most likely going in the right direction. 🚴♀️👍👍

south carolina? RDI on FS is usually too high. Figure out your basal metabolic rate and then eat under that amount

I was having the same problem. After having my yearly blood test done it turned out I have some insulin resistance which causes me to not lose any weight. Had to reconfigure amount of carbs I was eating. It is still extremely slow loss but beginning to work.

Agree with lPhyll, it may be insulin resistance affecting your metabolism. If your insurance covers it, perhaps a visit to a dietician or nutritionist might be in order to figure out how best to counteract that. Good luck!

Ok thanks for the ideas. For those with insulin resistance, were you quite overweight at the time or pre-diabetic? Or was it more unexpected, maybe due to thyroid or something else?

If leaning out/gaining muscle you should be seeing a change in the fit of your clothes because of change in body comp. Only a guess, but I would check your calories, they may be a little high. You have very little to lose so it really comes into play now
