🙁 Pouting this morning....guess that's what I get for joining Hubby eating chips late...even though it was just a small serving. The salt in the canned turnip greens may have also contributed. I don't usually eat canned veggies but I really like these. I ate just under 2000 calories, yesterday.
We cut our walk short yesterday. I was tired from working in the gardens/ yard and it was very muggy. Never did get any rain. I had been puttering around the garden shed...looked down and saw a copperhead snake curled up under a daylilly. Had to deal with him before we could go for our walk. I found a log in the edge of the woods by our house all covered with moss, ferns & these little half moon shaped "growths". It looked like a natural sculpture. Decided to haul it out & put it in the garden. Pulled more weeds & raked a couple of small areas of grass. I also made a fresh batch of deer repellant & gave everything a good dose. I startled a deer a few feet from our deck when I came out. Not sure what she was up to, but she went bounding off into the woods.
I need to get a couple of cards so I think I may get 2 more tomato plants while I'm out. One I planted died & the deer nibbled the others. Also, the pansies seem to have bitten the dust in some planters now that it's gotten hot. Of course if they didn't get watered in time while I was away that might have contributed 😐
Flat iron steak & mushrooms for dinner....and I'm thinking salad.
