This is some advice I was giving to a friend here online, and liked the things I had to say.

You just have to have the willpower to change your eating habits. You reward yourself with 1 chocolate bar once a month for losing 5 pounds and keeping it off. You have to drink lots of water and no soda, not even diet soda because of the sodium.
Soda = Sodium
Sodium = Water Retention
Water Retention = Water Weight

I understand your reasoning for wanting to give up and pig out after the 3rd bar, but start right the next day. Fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats (such as Turkey Burger or Chicken Breasts), whole grains (Like Brown Rice and Whole Wheat Whole Grain Bread) and fat free milk.

And get at least a 30 minute cardio in each day, weather its just walking, jogging, or aerobics class.

The Bottom Line is Losing Weight is a Very Hard Thing To Do, That's why we are all here for ourselves and each other. Be Strong Don't Give Up, Try Different Things, if something isn't working to get the weight off, try something else. Look at the different peoples bio's on here and see what there success has been. I don't suggest the Atkins diet because that one is too strict in my opinion, but the South Beach Diet is a good diet to follow it is more well rounded.

You Can Do It! I know you can. If you want something bad enough anything is achievable, you just have to make the sacrifice.

It is NOT just about WILLPOWER! Every expert will agree with me on that...it is physical, emotional, psychological, stress related, genetic, relationship related, past experiences related, and a ton of other things. It is nowhere NEAR as simple as just making a sacrifice!
